AYA Clusters This is the first year for our Parents-As-Educators AYA Learning Clusters (PAE/ALC).

PAE/ALCs  were created to aid parents who:
 

•Want to home school their children and still have to work.
 

• Want to be actively involved in their children’s education, but don’t want to carry the entire weight alone.
 

• Want to interact with other families without the responsibility of organizing everything.
 

• Want age-appropriate socialization and exposure to other youth and adults seeking academic excellence, African/Black identity and responsibility to our people and the world.

Each unit/site in a  cluster of three becomes part of a village of 45!

4th/5th Grade Clusters Forming Nationally.

Middle School Clusters Forming Nationally.

• Both personal and computer-based instruction
• All state-required courses
• Full or part-time attendance
• Full adult supervision
• Trained Instructors

In contrast to the AYA Learning Clusters, students attend class  from home (or parent-arranged site) via computer and the Internet.

With only a broad band connection, computer (even an older one) plus an inexpensive webcam and PC head set, students take course/s with real-time instructors and other students.  Courses offered Monday through Thursdays of each week for Middle and High School students.
